Nôm

The Taste Of Heritage

BRAND IDENTITY
LETTERING

Nôm is a Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of NYC, created to bring the flavors of Vietnam to a modern western audience. Whether it’s a first-time taste or a familiar favorite, Nôm offers something for everyone—locals craving something new, and Vietnamese New Yorkers looking for a comforting bite of home.

To reflect that, the brand needed an identity that captured both ends of the spectrum: deeply rooted in tradition, yet alive with the energy of the city. I developed a visual system that bridges those worlds—earthy, neutral tones evoke warmth and heritage, while bold, expressive typography speaks to the loud, fast-moving spirit of New York.

The result? A confident, inviting identity that positions Nôm as more than just a place to eat. It’s where you get a taste of Vietnam, wrapped in warmth, and served with heart.

Steamy Noods

The logotype draws inspiration from the wavy, comforting nature of one of Vietnam’s most beloved dishes—pho—with forms that echo the curves of noodles and the gentle rise of steam. Supporting elements follow suit, using soft edges and subtle motion to reflect that same warmth and slow simmer.
Meanwhile, the brand voice is intentionally gentle and welcoming—offering a sense of home and familiarity that contrasts the visual volume of the typography. The result is a confident, considered identity that invites people to experience a slice of Vietnam, right in the heart of NYC.
